BioCRUDE
technology presents efficient, environment-friendly and
economical solutions to waste reformation into renewable
energy sources. It
offers high treatment capabilities combined with
a lower cost of operation. This technology solves
organic waste disposal problems while reducing the
generation of greenhouse gases.
Our self-contained,
self-efficient, and completely scalable individual unit
was a starting point for our company.
The
technology is described as a system that will turn
organic wastes into renewable energy resources (methane,
light crude oil and a direct thermal source). The system
can be used for individual households, farms,
municipalities, industry and large scale energy
production.
The unit will operate
without need for the excess energy required in thermal
processes; using unique enzyme activators in
order to speed up the natural process.
The BioCrude process promotes
breakdown of the waste product
without
the use of thermal decomposition. The units will
have pumps and other electrical components, which can be
powered by the crude oil or natural gas generated by the
unit. The enzymes in combination with waste
products and water will produce heat and pressure as a
by-product of the process. Safety systems will be
incorporated in order to deal with pressure. The excess
heat from the system will be used for heat pumps.
The
household unit will hold 600-800 liters of effluent and
utilizes the solid wastes from septic tanks and other
organic refuse such a grass clippings, leaves and
compost material. We anticipate that the household unit
will be able to provide most, if not all power needs for
the home user.
Agricultural and municipal users will have no problem
with availability of sufficient feedstock.
The agricultural BioCrude system owner
can use the end products for powering greenhouses,
heating buildings, and running engines of various
sorts. Methane is a greenhouse gas twenty times
stronger than carbon dioxide. After satisfying the needs
of their own enterprise, they can use the sale of the
energy products as an additional revenue stream. All
this while taking care of a difficult waste disposal
problem.
The BioCrude system creates reliable and
consistent alternatives to solar or wind energy and is
cheaper to produce. Generated energy can be harnessed
directly by the BioCrude system owner by charging
battery banks. For the convenience of the owner, this
system can be fully automated.
The system is intended to provide
independence for small end users from utility companies.
In
developing countries they have never had electricity in
their homes, and in most cases do not even have proper
cooking or food storage facilities. In most countries
the solution to this problem is not to extend or build
new centralized power grids, but to provide small local
power stations; even single household power generating
facilities. Until the current time, solar, wind, and
biofuel power producers have been the front line of the
electrification process.
Most of
the off-grid households are located in tropical and
subtropical geographical areas where there is a larger
available renewable energy potential than in many
developed countries. Waste disposal issues are a
growing concern as land space is used up; the
environment is contaminated, and spread of disease
increases. The setting is perfect for a solution such
as the BioCRUDE system.
